Kam Ce Kam

The track had to be positive, evocative and have a sense of an exotic lazy afternoon but the anticipation of evening. It's a scene that feels like it has only been vacated momentarily.

Hangdrums and distant vocals evoke a human spirit, ambiences and percussion made from pebbles (snare), wood (block) and beads (shaker) bring us into the environment and the materiality of the pieces, and a sparse beat keeps it contemporary.

As the film is quite architectural I wanted to work with the volumes that are being shown so the music recedes into the rainforest with the camera at the end, melting like a mirage. A version was made which loops the rainforest ambience so the track can run on repeat with no joins and the music emerging and receding like a wave.
